For those who contributed to the IndieGoGo campaign for the release of The Beauty of Our Weapons, and got a hard copy of the book as one of your perks, good news!
I posted the books today, so watch your postboxes over the next two weeks.
Fantasy author A.F. Stewart has written a lovely review of The Beauty of Our Weapons.
As usual Ms. Wehm has created a story you can jump into and characters to embrace, with interesting insights on society; her books reflect on today’s current state and probe any possible future. The Beauty of Our Weapons is an easy recommend, as is the entire series.
I’ve just learned that there’s a movement afoot to create a new holiday – Future Day – and the first one will be March 1, 2012.
How fitting, since that’s the day that The Beauty of Our Weapons, a glimpse into one possible future, will be publicly released.
So why not celebrate the future with a paperback, ebook or starting an audio podcast? Doubtlessly, people will still read (or at least consume stories somehow) in the future.
The contributors to the IndieGoGo campaign for the book release have now got access to their pre-release digital copies.
I hope all you lucky pre-release readers like the book and I’d love to hear what you think when you’re started reading/listening.
My IndieGoGo campaign closed along with 2011 and with great success.
I’m now busy getting the final editing out of the way and starting recording the audio. Watch this space for more information about the public release, which is tentatively scheduled for March 1, 2012.
Contributors to the campaign should watch their email for more information.
Almost halfway there!
The fundraising campaign for the release of The Beauty of Our Weapons is almost halfway funded. I’m busy working on layout, editing and getting everything ready for the print versions and I’m hoping to have a preliminary cover design to show you all soon.
One of the limited rewards just got snapped up, so if you had your eye on one, you’d better get on it.
Thanks everyone for contributing and sharing this campaign. I appreciate all the support thrown my way.
If you haven’t taken a look at the fundraising campaign yet, check it out at IndieGoGo for pre-orders, limited edition hardcovers and other goodies.
